A call to action is the desired thing you want your users to do next. Every Web page (and email newsletter) should be created with a specific call to action in mind. If you don't know what the desired call to action is on a given page, neither does your user. This one fundamental idea is a large cause of drop-off rates on Web sites.

Having brought all those visitors to your website encourage them to take action, and no I don't mean pop-ups which are increasingly a big turn off for internet users.

I simply mean make it easy for them to contact you, buy your products, find the right information - whatever it was you wanted visitors to do when you decided you needed a website!
